GENESIS CLASS: Year 1

This inclusive music class is designed for children ages 4 to 10 who wish to learn basic keyboard skills incorporated with other essential elements of music. This is done in an exciting group setting as one parent or helper sits with the student and the teacher facilitates. The students in class are of similar age and musical experience. The material studied is varied Christian music: traditional, contemporary, historical and original. This class is fun, fast paced and covers a mountain of material in the first year!

GENESIS CLASS: Year 2

Because many classes wish to continue into the 2nd year, we do!

PRIVATE PIANO, VOICE or

COMBINATION LESSONS

Many students opt to take private lessons, which are 30 – 60 minutes and continue more of the spirit-filled, well-rounded music teaching approach to keyboard and voice or a combination there of.

SONSHINE CHOIR

Meets Sundays during the school year, after the Children’s Sermon in the 2nd Grade Classroom at First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood. All children in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade are welcome to serve Jesus through beautiful singing. There is no fee for this amazing opportunity. Come join us this fall!!

CAROL CHOIR, HEAVEN BOUND and TEEN BELLS

These groups are for 3rd through 12th Grade and offer more opportunities for our children to praise God through fine music free of charge.

Sonshine Music Company offers courses that are more than just piano lessons. Students learn the music through playing, singing, movement, and creative development.

PLAY

Students, with the aid of a parent and highly trained teacher, tackle piano technique and percussion work in an innovative way. Yamaha keyboards and quality pitched and non pitched rhythm instruments are offered for class use.

SING

DEVELOP

Solfege singing is employed to enhance keyboard work, ear training, note reading and overall musicality. A wide variety of Christian songs are enjoyed by the children.

MOVE

Because children move, we move! This class is loaded with folk dances, creative movement and musical games that stimulate learning.

Combining a systematic music technique and kid friendly environment, students with regular attendance, encouragement, practice and prayer will see tremendous progress in the first year!

CREATE

As children progress in their musical abilities, they explore improvisation and create their own musical ideas.
